Leaders of health and social care services in South Tyneside are asking unpaid adult carers to complete an online survey to help them improve the support they are provided.

An unpaid carer is anyone who looks after a family member, partner or friend who needs help because of their illness, disability, frailty, a mental health problem or an addiction and cannot cope without your support.

South Tyneside’s Social Care and Health services want to better understand how caring impacts on them, their experiences and needs.

The survey asks about the carer’s health and wellbeing, money and work, social life and time for them, and access to support.

Social Care and Health services will use the results from this annual survey to help improve the lives of unpaid carers in the borough.

Carers can skip any questions they prefer not to answer. It should take no more than 15 minutes to complete the survey.
