A free service which provides instant access to anonymous mental health support to young people who live in South Tyneside will continue throughout the upcoming school holidays.

Kooth works on behalf of the NHS to support anyone aged ten to 25 who needs it.

Jemma Austin, Kooth Engagement Lead for County Durham, Sunderland & South Tyneside, said: “The summer holidays will soon be approaching and at Kooth we want to make sure that children and young people know we’re still here for them despite schools being closed.

“We understand that many young people may be quite reliant on the varied support they receive from their time at school. Kooth.com support options are multifaceted with peer support, self help and one to one support being open to the individual.”
