A new weekly meeting for people on the transgender spectrum is being launched in South Tyneside next month.

The first Transgender Group meeting is being held on Monday June 13 from 3pm to 4.30pm at Big Local in Jarrow Focus (please use the Phab Club entrance).

This group, being launched by Kind Mind Community, is for anyone on the Transgender Spectrum to tell their stories, have their voice heard and give support to each other.

The group will be led by those who use it, and members of the transgender community are being invited to come along and have their say.

Kind Mind Community supports people with their mental health and wellbeing and services include courses in anxiety management, mindful photography walks, social groups and drop-ins aimed at supporting people to make friends and be around others, and volunteering opportunities.

For more information on Kind Mind Community get in touch by calling 0191 217 2935 or emailing kindmindcommunity@merntalhealthconcern.org or popping into their weekly drop-in at Jarrow Focus (Phab Club entrance) on Fridays at 12noon for a chat.
