Jayne Richarson and patientPatients are being invited to provide feedback on health and social care services via an online survey and two virtual focus group sessions being held next week.

NHS South Tyneside Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) wants help to shape how it involves patients, public, carers, and stakeholders in its decision making.

The CCG said: “You may hear or read terms like Involvement, Engagement, Participation, Consultation, Communication, and Citizen Voice. These are just some of the phrases used to describe the different ways of involving people.

“For NHS South Tyneside CCG and NHS Sunderland CCG, speaking with people, and listening to what the public and patients have to say is very important. We need to have these conversations with people to share information about health and health care services, to understand what is working well, and to know what areas need improving or how things can work better for everyone

“We would like to know what you think is important when it comes to involving people, to help us to get things right. We would also like to know what you thing the CCGs do well, and what we can do better. You can share your thoughts by going to: https://involvement.sunderlandccg.nhs.uk/surveys/19

“You can also let us know if you would like to take part in a focus group session to tell us more. We have two arranged on Tuesday January 26th from 10am to 11am and Thursday January 28th from 2pm to 3pm.

“We really appreciate your support in helping us to understand how we can better involve people. The information you provide will help inform the CCGs new Involvement Strategy, and will inform how we work with communities in the future. If you have any questions, or would like to take part in a focus group, please feel free to contact me on lisa.anderson7@nhs.net.”
